Tommy Hall takes Pole Position in 4wd…

In the fourth nerve racking round of 4wd qualifying, Tommy Hall laid down the fastest time we’ve see so far with one race to go. Hall’s performance was very fast and it was going to be hard to beat. Lee Martin got off to a flying start and was inside Hall’s time before catching a bobble under power and putting the car into a cart-wheel that never seemed to end. Once he got going again the car displayed a technical fault which stopped the car powering up from low speeds – perhaps a sensor wire or similar. Lee persevered to 9th. Hall took 4 seconds off the best TQ time.
