4wd Q2 – Lee Martin still the man to beat…

Once again we had a round of qualifying where many of the top drivers made mistakes. Lee Martin got off on an incredible pace before catching the hose at the tabletop hairpin in the middle of the circuit. That allowed Ben Smith take the lead of the heat on time, but Martin was able to keep his pace extremely high and take the round win. Smith ran clean and safe to go second and Thomas Phipps ran very fast in a turbulent heat to go third. Mistakes from Hall and Cragg were too costly for them to challenge.
