Round 3 of 4wd qualifying was full of incident. It started with Neil Cragg who took round 1 – Neil having a drivetrain failure coming off the first group of jumps at the start of his run. In the following heat, Tommy Hall, Lee Martin and Ben Smith were running close at the front of the heat. Smith was first to have an accident needing a marshal. Then a bad bounce for Hall let Martin through. Then Martin and Hall both crashed in tandem coming off the double in the middle. Hall got away as Martin needed to be marshalled.
