We are busy editing an interview video with Martin Owen, so this round report – and probably the next one – will be short and sweet.
4wd Qualifying Round 2….
The very warm day has resulted in the track surface becoming loose. Driver’s have commented that the corner speed at the apex of most corners is very low as there isn’t much grip there. The main battle tha the front is between Michal Orlowski and Neil Cragg. Orlowski is smooth and fast without any drama. Cragg is slightly faster than Orlowski when pushes on, but that then results in a mistake like a champion’s roll or riding a hose.
Orlowski went fastest in Round 2 with a 12/300.21 – about 0.1 faster than his round 1 time. Cragg second with a 12/304.98. Paul Crompton the best of the rest with a 12/307.49 .
